The San Pedro Arts community embodies a unique blend of retro and modern art to please the eye and the soul. Whether it is visiting one of the many galleries downtown or partaking in a live production, there is a medium to bring enjoyment to all ages.
Point Fermin Park hosts "Shakespeare by the Sea" in its open amphitheatre during the warm summer months and The Warner Grand Theatre hosts live and recorded shows at various times throughout the year.
San Pedro's beautiful landscape provides subject matter and the perfect haven for artists of all media. Art galleries are abundant downtown to display their craft and Ports O'Call is home to the San Pedro Art Association gallery that features artists Carlos Boisselle, Chuck Famulare, and Debbie Sue Stinson, and myself, Linda Dixon, just to name a few.
Also associated with San Pedro Art Association
artists is "CRAFTED" located across from the Cabrillo Marina on 22nd
Street. "CRAFTED" houses beautiful displays of art, jewelry, and other
mediums by local artists. Chuck Famulare proudly displays his candle holders as one of the participating artists.
The first Thursday of every month comes the 1st Thursday Art Walk. The galleries downtown open their doors from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.. and local artisans display their work with food, drink and live entertainment provided.
Every 1st Thursday of the month, San Pedro Art Association artists can be found at the Croatian Cultural Center at Pacific Avenue and 7th (pictured below). Live music and food and drink abundant draw a crowd of regulars and newcomers alike!
