About Your "Tour Guide" and... Passion for San Pedro.....

Passion for San Pedro.com came about from just that... my passion for my wonderful childhood home. My name is Linda Dixon and I was raised on the Peninsula, the first eight years here in San Pedro and the remaining ten in Palos Verdes, on the north side of the hill.

As soon as I was licensed to drive, my friends and I would frequently come here, usually hanging out at Ports O' Call Village or Point Fermin. There was always something to do and it always had that wonderful familiar feeling.

My dad recently described San Pedro "as a city that has never really outgrown itself." I thought that was a very profound way of putting it and hadn't thought of it quite that way. Many places change so much as the population grows that it's often hard to recognize a place that was once so familiar.

On this journey through San Pedro, I will not only be showing you the wonderful sites of the city, I will be acquainting you with the commerce that keeps it alive.

Over the last 34 years I have raised five kids and have two adorable grandsons. Each one of my kids has their own memory of this town, having been here with me many times over the years. Now I am creating memories of this area for my grandsons to enjoy for years to come!!

My hope is that you too will be inspired to visit San Pedro and the Peninsula to create memories of your own.

As an artist, I have recorded many of my memories on canvas, and one of my pages is dedicated to that part of my life, and how San Pedro played a role in it. The photos you will see are a conglomerate of pictures taken by myself, my brother Jeff, sister Kathy, and my daughter Chelsea. There will sure be more to follow.

Have you thought of creating your own website?!!

When I decided to create this site, I had no prior experience with web design but through other business endeavors, my sister introduced me to the magic of Sitesell, and step by step, I started putting it together. Sitesell has made it possible for people all over the world realize their dreams through turning their hobbies or passions into a business.

No matter who you are, or what your business plans are, you will likely find two or three videos by people just like you, in similar circumstances.

If you have a passion that you would love to share with the world or to build or expand a business, this program makes it simple and fun!!

I would love to hear from you and welcome your comments. I will be continuing to add new things so I hope you will visit often!
