Averill Park in San Pedro .. .a romantic wedding location

Averill Park is located on Dodson Avenue and is surrounded by residential homes with a 1940 and 50's feel that provide a more quiet setting.

Old river rock retaining walls greet the entrance and down below ponds are surrounded by fauna, trees with cascading limbs enveloping the stone walkways.

This picturesque setting creates a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere that attracts all ages. Rolling hills provide the perfect picnic spot for a warm weekend day.

People come out here to walk their dogs, relax in the sun or shade, and makes a fun family vacation spot for holidays like the Fourth of July or Memorial Day to enjoy family activities outdoors.

The park's landscape is on many different levels with walkways throughout and waterfalls creating a tranquil melody in the background.

Looking for the perfect wedding location?

This park, with its small town feel, has been known for its intimate and romantic wedding locations with an outdoor gazebo adding to the beautifully serene backdrop... perfect for those memorable wedding photos that last a lifetime.

A quaint bridge constructed of rock and stone is also a wonderful choice for the wedding ceremony. The bridge can be used free of charge, but use of the gazebo does require a rental fee.

This has always been one of my favorite parks. It has a personality so different from the others and attracts visitors all year round.

There are many beautiful parks in San Pedro, but Averill Park, Peck Park and Point Fermin Park are three of the oldest and , I feel, have the most character.
