Cabrillo Beach... one of L.A. Harbor's most beautiful beaches ...expansive beach on one side and rocky cliffs on the other.

Cabrillo Beach has a break that extends as far as the eye can see to meet up with Angel's Gate Lighthouse at its center.

On any given day, people walk the pier to enjoy the ocean breezes,or as in this photo, men of our military use it for their jog.

...and the north side of the beach is beautifully lined with trees that meet up with rocky cliffs heading towards Pt. Fermin.

One section of the beach is dedicated to picnic areas shaded with lush trees to make a perfect setting for the famished after a day of fun and sun. This is a great place for a fun cheap vacation and there are always activities going on that are free or very affordable!

This side of the beach offers a spectacular view of the Marina and San Pedro Hill.

Artists often use this area for their subject matter. There is an array of seagulls that preen for attention and pose on the rocks that line the break to make a beautiful backdrop for any painting or photograph.

Cabrillo Beach also houses the Marine Aquarium, the Cabrillo Bathhouse ,and the beautiful Marina. Last, but not least, Angels Gate Lighthouse serves as lighthouse beacon to the incoming ships to the harbor.
