Cabrillo Marina... beautifully surrounded by shops and restaurants

Cabrillo-Marina-towards-Doubletree-Hotel

Cabrillo Marina is beautifully surrounded by shops, unique restaurants , and the Doubletree Hotel.

As shown in this photo, this waterfront location is absolutely beautiful, the Doubletree Hotel and Plaza office suites sitting in the background.

With the hotel there to provide accommodations, it is a perfect location for a fun family vacation spot or weekend getaway.

One of my high school reunions was held there, and even though, (I hate to say) was a long time ago, it was a great place to see old friends and remember old times.

What a great place for a unique wedding location or reception, overlooking the marina and expanse of Pacific Ocean.

Home to many a sailboat or yacht enthusiast, weekend boaters have their slips there, ready to take advantage of a beautiful day on the ocean or a Catalina Island tour.

Thinking of chartering a boat?...

22nd-Street-Landing-front-view The place to go here is 22nd Street Landing. Scuba diving, snorkeling, and salt water sport fishing are available and there are rental shops for any equipment needed.

Whale watching adventures are a great field trip idea , or ferry to Catalina to spend a day exploring the island. Both ideas provide for a pleasurable day trip.

Shown docked here is the Monte Carlo, California's finest half day and twilight boat.

The boat departs at 6:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. daily, starting in April.

In May, the famous TWILIGHT run begins, departing at 6:30 p.m., returning around midnight. The Monte Carlo was the first boat to improve night fishing using huge 12,000 watt lighting systems. Close by Cabrillo Marina enjoy the beach where you can enjoy a day of relaxing in the sun or frolicking in the surf.
