Joan Milke Flores Park

Joan Milke Flores Park sits on the other side of the Fort MacArthur Military Museum and behind the sign pictured above, you can seethe Korean Friendship Bell pagoda.

Rolling hills provide the serene backdrop to the park's landscape and is the perfect place for relaxation and an awesome view of the ocean.

Picnic benches line the parking lot with pathways leading to both the Military Museum and Angels Gate Park where visitors from all over come to see the Korean Friendship Bell.

Don't let those rolling hills fool you though!! Climbing them isn't so easy and is not for the faint of heart!! Make sure you are in pretty good shape or willing to take your time--quite a workout!!

On the other side of the park's Paseo Del Mar entrance and to the north is Royal Palms Beachwhere beach goers and nature enthusiasts love to go.

On any give day, joggers and bicycle riders can be seen traveling along the highway, from Joan Milke Flores Park to Pt Fermin and the surrounding landscapes. or people walking their dogs and enjoying a number of grassy knolls along the way.

The park was named after Joan Milke Flores who served as Los Angeles City Councilwoman for the 15th district from 1981 to 1993.
