Royal Palms Beach

Royal Palms Beach is a state beach and one of San Pedro Peninsula's beautiful beaches sitting on its southern side.

A long road leads down to the beach where parking is available for the daily beach goer or tide pool adventurer.

The tide pools provide hours of entertainment for young and old searching for starfish, crabs, and sea anemones-- a small glimpse of the underwater marine world inhabiting our coastline.

White Point Park sits along the cliff's edge, with play areas for the kids and breathtaking views of the ocean and beach below.

Overlooking the beach and White Point Park, is the South Shores residential community. This quiet neighborhood is perfectly located to enjoy the beach and have access to the bluffs and other landscapes perfect for hiking and nature walks!!

Above these bluffs is where Western Avenue and 25th intersect--traveling west on 25th St taking you to Wayfarers Chapel in Portugese Bend, and traveling to the east bringing you to downtown San Pedro and the harbor.

Traveling east on Paseo Del Mar from Royal Palms Beach, quaint neighborhoods line the street leading into Point Fermin. On the other side of Point Fermin at Paseo Del Mar and Gaffey Streets, is Angels Gate Park and the Korean Friendship Bell.

This portion of San Pedro is very reminiscent of the World War II era. World War II veterans and their families love the memorabilia that can be viewed on the other side of Angels Gate Park at the Fort MacArthur Military Museum. Come and see the displays and take a step back in time when our country faced one of its greatest threats!
Learn about the vital role San Pedro and the military here played in keeping us safe during that fascinating time of our nation's history!!
